HELLLOOOOO GAMERSTis the season to be gaming and to spread some holiday cheer, so this coming club meeting i would like to ask GMs that are running games to hold off so that we can have a night of open gaming as a community.
Secondly there will be a yankee swap at the meeting that will be had right at the beginning of club, so everyone bring a gift for the pot. It shouldnt be anything expensive, around five bucks or less is the norm, but if you want to throw something more expensive into the pot that is up to you.
The rules for a yankee swap is that everyome draws numbers, and in order they go into the middle, grab a present, open it, and either hold onto it or trade with someone else for their gift.
Secondly, follow the rule of "if your grandmother would be offended, do not bring it" if you have a very open grandmother, then look for a more conservative grandmother to use as a model.
Finally it is a christmas party for this thursday because it is the last thursday meeting before finals meaning that we are going to have snacks and drinks, and possibly themed games; even candyland will be making an appearance, so show up in your holiday best, and i look foreward to seeing you all there!

HvZ update:
WILL NOT BE HAPPENING AGAIN THIS SEMESTER, sorry. We thought there would be more time, turns out there really isn’t… our bad, plan for first game of next semester to be during the first week, remember your blaster!

Electronic gaming will be in the HUB Tower Room on Dec 1st because of the Angel Tree Project

Sorry folks, the last few weeks the rant has been sort of dead, don’t worry turns out some of the executives of club have some knowledge of necromancy so they reanimated it!

As some of you know, our secretary had to leave so we are looking for a new one, so far Russell is a a Secretary elect, if you want to be nominated or get nominated talk to Kurt, DJ, or Dan Leis…

On that note show up to club so we can get our vote on!!

Hello everybody, this is the Gaming Club Rant!

So everybody, just as a reminder, the Masquerave is on Friday, and we would love for all of you to be in attendance. It will be in the Hage Room from 7-11 ish and it should be a good time. This will overlap with pumpkinfest until about 830. If people want to go check that out too, feel free because both pumpkinfest and the rave should be a great time. That being said, we still need people to SIGN UP to help with the MasqueRave so that we can get that up and going. Setup will be starting at 1 pm in the Hage room. If you sign up please come, and if you didn’t sign up to help, please come anyway.

There will be the annual Gaming Club Party tomorrow for Halloween! That means that everyone and anyone that is planning on running games should try to bring some halloween themed games for everyone to play and enjoy. There will also be snacks and drinks and stuff to aide in the festivities.

There will be our annual Costume Contest, so everyone come in with your costumes and there is a 5 dollar buy in fee and the winner gets half!

CarnageCon is approaching fast, so if anyone is interested in going, pre-register for it and make sure to tell the officers, so that we can figure out potential carpooling.

Any and all Magic players show up for business and following business will be a discussion pertaining to you, so i suggest you show up or forever hold your peace.

Humans vs Zombies is a hit! Everyone wanting to join in the fight against the un-dead flesh addicts, it costs $1 for paid members and $2 for non-paid members. It will be going on until the end of next week. Seek out Phil for more details.

Lastly, i do apologize to everyone in club for how long it took the rant to come out this week, and do not fret, that shall soon be fixed.

Its a new year, and we will soon see an influx of new freshmen. I am sorry to say though that there will be no unofficial meeting tonight though, due to the hurricane and flood the scheduling and workings are a little mucked up. no pun intended. However there is the Student activities fair is taking place on tuesday the 6th from 4 to 6. I look forward to seeing you all this thursday -Curtis

Hello everyone out in the Interwebz!

At the helm today is Jamie, EconoCon captain!

I am currently working on preparing complete online registration through both this website for non PSU students/alumni, or through orgsync.com for those who have a my.plymouth.edu account!

We are hoping this year that we will be able to do everything online – including online payment! It’s amazing how things have changed over the years, and we are now hoping to go completely paperless (fingers crossed).

The Last Rant

Well everyone, it’s that time again.

The dragons have been slain; the Lich king was defeated. The Wolven have been killed through mob justice. Camelot has been defended from Saxon and Seige Engine. Magic: The Gathering is no longer thick in the air. The zombies have eaten the last man standing. Even the warhammer armies are licking their wounds and planning their next assault.

Yes, it’s that time… the last week of Gaming Club.

And so, we will remember the good times the best way we can remember all things…

by throwing one heck of a party.

That’s right. This Thursday, the last meeting with business of the semester, expect soda and free food. We won’t be doing superlatives– there have been remarkably few people showing up for business lately- but we will have some fun times. Anyone with a game to run, do us a favor and hold off until 8 or so; this’ll be the last time lots of people will see each other until the fall, and some people are graduating, moving away, or otherwise will not be returning. Give them a chance to say goodbye, catch a quick card game, etc. I’ll be bringing out, and running, Werewolf, among other games.

Saturday is the last meeting of the semester, period. There’s a warhammer’s tournament– doubles, 1500 points per player, $5 per player– but for everyone not in it, just show up. We’ll come up with something.

As a last note: If you have ANYTHING out of the office right now, RETURN IT BY THURSDAY. Or we WILL track you down.

Gaming Club is CANCELED

Gaming Club Tonight, May 7 2011, is canceled. We were supposed to be moved into HYDE 318 due to Spring Fling, but the building is locked. No one at Maintenance has the authority to open it, and UPD is too busy to come by.

We apologize for the late notice. There is still gaming at the Ahadi Invitational at Smith Hall.
